Columbia celebra el centenario de 'La Opinión Pública' de Walter Lippmann

Me llegó por varias fuentes el rumor de que Michael Schudson estaba preparando un simposio para celebrar el centenario de la publicación de Public Opinion, del legendario periodista Walter Lippmann. Al final he dado con el programa, pero ha tenido que ser a través de Youtube, desde donde podrán verse las ponencias:

In honor of the 100-year anniversary of the publication of Walter Lippmann's Public Opinion, professors Michael Schudson and Nick Lemann in the School of Journalism have organized a conference that will take up questions of what elements in Lippmann's work remain instructive for us today. The conference will take place on Oct. 20-23 in the World Room of Pulitzer Hall (3rd floor) and will consist of 2 keynote presentations (Louis Menand and Michele Moody-Adams) and 2 days of moderated panel discussions. Participants include journalists along with academics in communication studies, political science, history, sociology, science studies, and related fields.
